A DogWatch hidden fence uses a buried boundary wire that carries a harmless radio signal from a transmitter installed in your home or garage. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar that emits a warning sound or vibration as they approach the boundary. If they continue, a mild correction is delivered to encourage them to stay within the designated area.
Can the DogWatch system be used for cats or other animals?
Yes, DogWatch hidden fences work effectively for cats and other animals like pigs or goats. The system can be customized with appropriate training levels to suit various animals, ensuring safe containment.
What happens if my pet tries to leave the containment area?
With proper training, escapes are rare. If your pet approaches the boundary, the collar emits a warning. If they proceed, a mild correction is given.
